Insurance at St. Pete

Our accepted plans include Aetna, Careington, Cigna, Delta, Guardian, Humana, MetLife, Principal, Sun Life, and United Healthcare. Tell us your carrier and plan type so our team can confirm how your specific plan works here.
We also participate in some Aetna, Cigna, and Careington discount dental plans. We do not accept HMO, DMO, or capitation plans, and we cannot file Medicare plans.
Do not see your plan listed? Call us. Some plans work through umbrella networks, and our team can review your options without assuming you need to find another dentist.

Before treatment begins, we contact your insurance company and explain the estimate in three parts:
Start with your insurance company's name and whether your plan is a PPO, HMO, or DMO. Our team will explain what else is needed to review your benefits.
Your dentist explains the findings and treatment options. Our team reviews the fees and estimated benefits for the care you are considering.
Your insurer determines final coverage and payment. An estimate is not a guarantee of benefits.

We are in network with most major PPO plans. Participation and benefits vary by the specific plan, so tell us your carrier and plan type. Our team can confirm the details before your visit.
You can still ask about receiving care here as a self-pay patient. Our team can review your situation and explain costs and payment options.
That depends on your plan and the treatment you need. Once your dentist recommends care, we can estimate the insurance contribution and your share. Accepting your plan does not mean every treatment is covered in full.
Yes. We file claims electronically and contact insurance companies to prepare estimates before treatment. You have a team handling the claim submission, while your insurer makes the final coverage and payment decision.
Start with your carrier name and plan type when requesting a visit. The team will follow up for the details needed to verify benefits. Please keep member numbers, Social Security numbers, and insurance-card images out of the general appointment request.
Your $69 self-pay new-patient visit includes an exam, X-rays, and a consultation with the doctor. It gives you a starting point for understanding what care you need and what it may cost. For ongoing care, ask about our Powless Plan.
We do not accept HMO, DMO, or capitation plans, and we cannot file Medicare plans. You may still contact us to discuss self-pay care and the payment options available to you.
No dental insurance? The Powless Plan is our in-house dental savings plan for ongoing care. Ask about current membership details and how it applies to the care you need.
A larger treatment cost? CareCredit offers monthly payment options for qualified patients. Financing is subject to credit approval and the selected plan's terms.
We also accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

New Patients
Request a visit. The team reviews each request and confirms the appropriate next step.
Existing Patients
Current patients should call the office for help with an appointment or another patient need.
Urgent Concerns
Call us about the tooth that's troubling you. Our team can check the next available appointment. An online request does not reserve urgent care.

Patients with a specific problem can request a focused examination for that concern.

For privacy and security, please do not send your insurance card by text. Call the office instead.
APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION
