Our three dentists bring more than 66 years of combined experience, with backgrounds that include general dentistry, hospital-based surgical training, and care for patients with additional needs.
Dr. R. Andrew Powless
Dr. Powless completed hospital-based oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Louisiana State University. He also serves in a leadership role in dental and oral maxillofacial surgery at Tampa General Hospital.
His background includes more than 20 years caring for children and adults with mental, physical, and developmental challenges. For patients concerned about sedation or more involved care, that experience is an important part of the conversation.
Dr. Jose F. Matos
Dr. Matos listens closely, explains treatment clearly, and builds plans around each patient's goals. He earned his dental degree at VCU/MCV in Richmond, Virginia, and speaks English and Spanish, so you can discuss your concerns and preferences in either language.
Dr. Carson Rushmore
Born and raised in St. Pete, Dr. Rushmore earned her DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy. She is a gentle general dentist who focuses on patient comfort and confidence, whether you are keeping up with routine care or returning after time away.
From cleanings to implants and cosmetic care
We welcome adults and children ages five and older for preventive and family dentistry. When your needs change, you can also explore whitening, bonding, veneers, clear aligners, crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implants through the practice.
That range gives you a place to discuss repairing a tooth, replacing missing teeth, or improving your smile alongside your regular dental care. The appropriate treatment, provider, and setting depend on your individual needs.
Sedation for visits you have put off.
If anxiety has kept you away, tell us before your visit. With Dr. Powless, you can discuss nitrous oxide, oral sedation, IV sedation, and hospital-based general anesthesia when needed.
The right approach depends on your health history, treatment, and the level of support you need. We can review those questions before arranging the appropriate visit.

Our Vatech CT and panoramic imaging support diagnosis and treatment planning. Our 3Shape digital scanners support accurate planning and a more comfortable digital workflow.
For clear-aligner treatment, 3D computer imaging lets you preview the proposed changes before treatment begins. The technology supports the plan; your dentist explains what it means for your care.
Understand the cost before you decide.
We accept most major PPO dental plans and can estimate fees and insurance reimbursement before treatment starts. Coverage depends on your plan; we do not accept HMO or DMO plans.
For new patients without dental insurance, our $69 new-patient offer includes an exam, X-rays, and a consultation with the doctor.
CareCredit monthly payment options are available, subject to credit approval and lender terms. We also offer the Powless Plan, our in-house dental savings plan for patients without insurance. Ask us about current membership details and which benefits apply to your care.

INSURANCE INFORMATION
If you plan to use dental insurance, have the name of your plan available. The team can review your coverage before treatment begins. We accept most major PPO dental plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Delta, MetLife and others.
